Fine gold jewellery and diamonds last generations with modest care.
Daily wear
Remove jewellery before swimming, exercise, cleaning or applying perfume, sunscreen and hand creams. Chlorine and abrasive chemicals dull metal over time.
Store pieces separately in a soft pouch. Diamonds will scratch gold, including your own.
Cleaning at home
Soak briefly in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, brush gently with a soft toothbrush behind the stones, rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners on pieces with fragile or treated stones.
Professional checks
Have settings inspected periodically, particularly on pavé and tennis pieces worn daily.
